Privacy Policy

1 Purpose

SAGIT is committed to maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality, and security of your personally identifiable information ("Personal Information"). As part of this commitment, this privacy policy governs SAGIT’s actions relating  to the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information. This privacy policy is based upon the values set by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“  PIPEDA  ”) of Canada and the act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (“  LPRPSP  ”) of Quebec.

2 Introduction

SAGIT is responsible for maintaining and protecting Personal Information under its control.  All SAGIT personnel, including employees and contractors, are responsible for complying with this privacy policy.

SAGIT has policies and procedures in place to (1) protect personal information, (2) receive and respond to complaints and inquiries, and (3) train our staff and provide them with information about the policies and practices of SAGIT. This Privacy Policy explains  how SAGIT's policies and procedures comply with PIPEDA  principles.

Definitions

“Personal information” is information that can be used to identify or contact the USER individually, information that can identify the PATIENT, as well as other information that SAGIT needs to provide you with the products and services for which the CUSTOMER registered.

The personal information we collect generally includes your name, gender, date of birth, and/or other related information. Under certain circumstances, an IP address may be considered personal information.

3 Identifying Purposes of Information Collection

SAGIT collects, uses, and discloses Personal Information to provide users with the service requested.  SAGIT is committed to explaining why we need your information before or when we collect it to the extent that the purpose is not already clear. We will assume that the purpose is clearly identified when we use your personal information to provide you with the products and services for which the “CUSTOMER” are registered. In certain circumstances, the purposes for which information is collected may be clear, and consent may be implied (i.e., through agreement with SAGIT’s clients using the services or by accepting the cookies on SAGIT’s policy).

The purposes for which SAGIT collects Personal Information will be identified before or when it collects the information.

Where applicable, SAGIT will also collect log information, including your IP address and the time you access our service. This information is stored in log files (logs) and is used for security analysis purposes, to improve performance, and to prepare aggregate and statistical reports. This log information is not linked to personal information collected elsewhere on the PLATFORM.

SAGIT may also use USER’s personal information or  PATIENT’s personal information for secondary purposes such as

● Generating predictions upon the collected data (feature to come)

● Adding call-to-action functionalities into our system (feature to come)

SAGIT does not entrust the collection of personal information to a third party external to our organization.

As such, SAGIT will not disclose Personal Information to third parties or other organisations without prior CUSTOMER consent, except in the following limited circumstances:

● As reasonably required to fulfill our service or product offering, provided that appropriate confidentiality requirements bind such third parties;

● To comply with legal processes such as a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena, court order, or law enforcement request;

● To resolve a contractual or non-contractual dispute regarding your and/or a patient's use of any product or service provided by SAGIT;

● To resolve issues related to the use of your account for illegal activities;

● In an emergency, to protect the health and/or safety of other users or members of the public in the event of an emergency.

4 Consent

Knowledge and consent are required for the collection, use or disclosure of Personal Information except where required or permitted by law. Providing SAGIT or its clients with your Personal Information is always your choice. SAGIT will only collect, use and/or disclose your personal information after notifying you and obtaining your consent unless permitted or required by law or as set out in this Privacy Policy. However, your decision not to provide certain information may limit SAGIT’s ability to provide you with its services.

SAGIT’s clients (“herein CUSTOMER”) have set forth their own consent procedures, which will allow SAGIT to access any Personal Information collected by its clients.

5 Limiting Collection

The Personal Information collected will be limited to those details necessary for the purposes identified by SAGIT and/or its CUSTOMERS. With your consent, SAGIT or its clients may collect Personal Information from you in person, over the telephone or by corresponding with you via mail, or via the Internet.

6 Limiting Use, Disclosure and Retention

Personal Information may only be used or disclosed for the purpose for which it was collected unless you have otherwise consented, or when it is required or permitted by law. Personal Information will only be retained for the period of time required to fulfill the purpose for which SAGIT or its clients collected it or as may be required by law.

SAGIT will follow internally established guidelines and exercise caution when disposing of, destroying and/or de-identifying personal information to prevent unauthorized third parties from gaining access to it.

7 Training and Support

For all purposes in which one needs to have access to our system while exposing him to personal information is unnecessary, the system will present fake data to the user. These cases include, but are not limited to: developers’ training, development environments, demos for new customers and investors, and support.

8 Accuracy

Personal Information will be maintained in as accurate, complete, and up-to-date form as is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it is to be used.

9 Safeguarding Customer Information

Personal Information will be protected by security safeguards appropriate to the information's sensitivity level. SAGIT takes all reasonable precautions to protect your Personal Information from any loss or unauthorized use, access, or disclosure.

10 Transparency

SAGIT will make information available to you about its policies and practices with respect to the management of your Personal Information.

If we change any of our privacy practices, we will post such change within this Privacy Policy for 30 days before it becomes effective. We will not retroactively change the practices associated with your personal information without your consent. This Privacy Policy intends to answer your questions about our policies and practices in this regard. When you send SAGIT a request or concern, the Privacy Officer or a person designated by him agrees to review it and respond to you within a reasonable time, which should not, except in exceptional circumstances. , exceed thirty (30) days.

11 Customer Access

Upon request, you will be informed of the existence, use and disclosure of your Personal Information and will be given access to it. You may verify the accuracy and completeness of your Personal Information and may request that it be amended, if appropriate, through SAGIT’s clients who collect the information. However, in certain circumstances permitted by law, SAGIT and/or its clients will not disclose certain information to you. For example, SAGIT may not disclose information relating to you if other individuals are referenced or if there are legal, security or proprietary commercial restrictions.

12 Handling Customer Complaints and Suggestions

SAGIT maintains procedures to handle and respond to all inquiries or complaints regarding personal information. We will inform persons who wish to make such complaints or inquiries of the appropriate existing procedures. Our Privacy Officer and staff working under their direction may seek external advice, as appropriate, before providing a final response to complaints. SAGIT undertakes to take seriously and investigate any situation supporting a complaint against it. If a complaint is deemed justified, SAGIT undertakes to take the appropriate measures to resolve the problem to which it refers, including modifying its policies and procedures if necessary.

13.1 Cookies

A cookie is a computer file or piece of information that may be stored in your computer's hard drive when you visit SAGIT’s websites. SAGIT may use cookies to improve its website’s functionality and, in some cases, to provide visitors with a customized online experience. Our software uses cookies solely for security purposes - user identity and session management.
